Bwindi Impenetrable NP

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda, is a world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site and a sanctuary for one of Earth’s most iconic and endangered species – the mountain gorilla. Covering an area of approximately 331 square kilometers, Bwindi is a dense and ancient rainforest, with its name “impenetrable” reflecting its thick vegetation and rugged terrain. This unique habitat is home to nearly half of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas, making it one of the most critical conservation areas for these magnificent primates.
