The tour to Uganda is perfect for clients who are eager to see primates. On this tour, you have a chance to trek with chimpanzees and encounter these gentle giants in their natural habitat. The good news is that you can choose to add this amazing tour to any safari across East Africa.

Day by Day

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a Kojuu Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at leisure – rest in your room or explore Kampala and the surrounding areas on one of our day tours, the choice is yours.

Accommodation: Overnight at The Boma Entebbe on Full board basis

Day 2: Kampala – Kibale National Park

Early breakfast, you will pick up by Kojuu Safaris guide early in the morning from your hotel in Kampala / Entebbe and together you will drive to Kibale National Park that has been nick named the primate capital of the world with the stars being the chimpanzees. You will have lunch in Fort portal and then proceed to Kibale for relaxation as you prepare for your adventure the next morning.

You shall go to bed earlier this evening, since you should be fit for gorilla trekking the next day.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After your early morning breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up and drive you up to the park head office for a morning briefing session from Uganda Wildlife Authority officials. From here you will set off for a morning chimpanzee trekking inside the vast jungles of Kibale, a home for large wildlife most especially 13 species of primate coupled with Chimpanzees. With the tracker, you come across chimpanzees, swinging from tree to tree, others nesting in the trees and making pat hoots (Their way of communication). These chimpanzees are habituated and a bit comfortable with human presence but will go about their lives. You will spend one hour with them and then return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare to set off to Bwindi later in the afternoon. After your delicious lunch, your driver guide will pick you up and together you will start your journey to Bwindi whereby you will arrive in the late afternoon. You will check in at the lodge, relax in the evening, and have dinner.

Day 4: 2nd day Gorilla Trekking

Early breakfast, today you will get up early and once again go for a second trekking of the gentle giats. A thrilling trek through the Impenetrable Forest led by an experienced ranger Guide provides inspiring views in all directions. You will trek a different family and get to spend time watching the adults feeding their young ones, brushing and resting as the youngsters play from vines in a pleasurably playful display. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Bwindi NP – Kampala – Entebbe Airport

Today marks the end of your tour. Today you will fly from Kihihi Airstrip to Entebbe Airport for your onward flight.
