Accommodation: Overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge on a Full board basis.
Today, you will have a morning, afternoon, and evening safari in Maasai Mara. The driver guides will drive you to the exciting nooks and corners of the park to introduce you to the fantastic flora and fauna the park has to offer. Later in the evening, we will visit the Maasai community for a cultural tour. A visit to the traditional Maasai boma is meant for visitors to learn about the culture of one of East Africa’s largest and most famous tribes. The Maasai Boma tour is at an additional cost. After the Maasai Boma tour, we will return to our lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Accommodation: Overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge on a Full board basis.
After breakfast, we will enjoy a morning game drive in the Maasai Mara before proceeding to the Kenya or Tanzania Border (Isebania). The trip is an exciting 3-hour drive with game enroute as we exit Maasai Mara National Reserve. On arrival at the border point, travelers will proceed to Tanzania.
We turn north, driving to the northern edge of the Serengeti, our world-famous national park, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Northern Serengeti is an open woodland land extending from the Seronera in the south to the Mara River in the north. On arrival to Northern Serengeti, we will continue with the game drive, following in the footsteps of the Great Migration, great herds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras getting ready to cross the Mara into Kenya and back again. Later in the evening, you will go towards your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Accommodation: Overnight at Mara Mara Tented Lodge on a Full board basis.
After breakfast, you will go for a full-day game drive in Northern Serengeti. If yesterday we did not get an opportunity to witness the crossing, then today, you will head again to the river. We continue focusing on the Great Migration as we delve deeper into this experience, spending a day by the Mara River. A famous spot for the river crossing, the Mara River is situated in the Mara Region, entering through both Kenya and Tanzania.
Over 1.2 million wildebeest and Zebras, along with gazelles and Topis, constantly move through the endless plain to the Mara ecosystem, searching for nutrition, grass, and water each year. It is the time of the year when hungry predators such as leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, and crocs ensure only the strongest survive. This Safari moment is an excellent show during the game drive. Please keep your eyes open as at the river crossing while trying to avoid predators; this is where crocodiles bide their time like the beasts they are. They take their share of the stragglers, and the weak and exhausted drown. As the afternoon ends, we will head toward our accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Accommodation: Overnight at Mara Mara Tented Lodge on a Full board basis.
Before leaving the Northern Serengeti, we take the opportunity this morning to enjoy another game drive in this incredible Area. As well as the herd animals, you can look to the skies, finding a majestic martial eagle or one of the other birds that populate here. In the afternoon, we take the short game drive enroute toward the central part of Serengeti, where, after lunch, a game drive will help us explore this part of Serengeti further. As the afternoon ends, you will go toward your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Accommodation: Overnight at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge on a Full board basis.
The sound of Africa arouses you from sleep, and you will freshen up and go to the main Area for breakfast. After breakfast, your driver will pick you up and drive to the park for a full-day game drive. If you love animals, then Serengeti is an excellent place to be. You will find the real Mufasa, Nala, Simba, and Scars, thanks to the Disney film “The Lion King.” Around 3,000 Lions are living in the Serengeti ecosystem. They are easy to spot because of their numbers and because they like to loll about for hours daily under the trees. Lions can last around 20 hours a day. The Serengeti also has bush elephants, cape buffaloes, and birds like Kori bustards, Fischers, and others.
The bottom line is that Serengeti is an endless playground, from the big five, the big cats, and balmy air balloons to river crossing in Mara River and Grumeti – there is no shortage of raw adventures and breathtaking moments. As the afternoon ends, you will walk toward your lodge, which has a spectacular view and is located inside the park for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Accommodation: Overnight at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge on a Full board basis.
Waking up in the Serengeti is something exceptional. Sights, sounds, and smells of Africa are all around us, and ahead is a full day of adventure in the world’s most famous national park before heading to Ngorongoro for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Accommodation: Overnight at Ngorongoro Lions Paw Full board basis.
Today, you will be rewarded with a full-day game drive in the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979 and one of the only places on earth where humankind and wild animals co-exist in harmony. The Ngorongoro Crater is famous for Africa’s best game viewing, as there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor.
Upon arrival at the Crater’s rim, you will descend 610 meters into the Crater, where your safari truly begins. Spot the endangered black rhino, wildebeest, buffalo, Zebra, eland, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and giant tusked elephants. The Crater also has the largest known population of lions, and you will also find leopards, cheetahs, and scavengers such as spotted hyenas, jackals, and rare wild dogs. Over five hundred species of birds have been recorded within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including white pelicans and flamingos. Soon after ascending from the crater floor, you will drive to your lodge at Mto wa Mbu for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Accommodation: Overnight at Manyara Secret on a Full-board basis.
After breakfast, there is a pick-up from the Hotel by a Kojuu Safari guide and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Tarangire is one of Africa’s little-known gems and should be on the itinerary of all lovers of wilderness and solitude. Its name originates from the Tarangire River, which crosses through the park and is the only water source during the dry season.
Tarangire’s landscape is incredibly diverse, with a mix not found anywhere else on the northern safari circuit. At this site, you can easily spot ancient baobab trees, which the Maasai believe are the first tree in creation, and giant termite mounds. The dry season sees the harsh sun suck the moisture from the landscape, baking the earth a dusty red, while the wet season brings dense bush and luscious high grasses. Famous for its large elephant population, it is also home to Zebra, wildebeest, giraffes, waterbucks, baboons, dwarf mongooses, impalas, buffalos, antelopes, and fringe-eared oryxes. Predators include lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Flocks of birds share the swamps: green wood hoopoes, lovebirds, tallish herons, white-bellied go-away birds, and giant kingfishers. On drier ground, you will find the kori bustard and the heaviest of the flying birds: the ostrich.
As the afternoon ends, you will drive to your Hotel Arusha for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Accommodation: Overnight at Four Point by Sheraton. On half board basis
Depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
