Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, go through the security checkpoint, and officials at the counter will check the required documents to verify your identity. You must have a valid passport, visa, and covid test certificate. After verification, you will take the luggage and go to the exit door, where you will find a Kojuu Safaris driver guide with a signboard that reads “Karibu Tanzania” with your name on it. He will greet you, take your luggage to our transfer vehicle, and transfer you to Arusha city.

Welcome to Arusha City! The city is smaller than Dar es Salaam, but it has much to offer you compared to any other region in Tanzania. On arrival at the Hotel, our driver guide will assist you with the check-in process, and then the hotel porter will help you with your luggage, leading you to your room to relax and freshen up. Dinner will be served at the restaurants afterward, and you will be free to enjoy hotel facilities where you can explore, take photos, and have fun before heading off to bed.

Accommodation:
Overnight at Villa Maua  on full board basis.

Day 2: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park- Lake Eyasi

After breakfast and Safari briefing, your driver guide will pick you up and drive to Lake Manyara for a full-day game drive. Lake Manyara is now more of a forest park than the years back, but it has retained its appeal and offers visitors a unique experience. Even though it has the least number of mammals in all Northern circuit parks, Lake Manyara makes up for it in its unique wilderness, which entails scenic landscapes such as Rift Valley, dense woodlands, and stunning mountainsides.

This park is a great starting point for an adventure. It lies in the Northern circuit of Tanzania, 130km from Arusha and approximately a two-hour drive. Sixty percent of this park is a lakeside which is 330sq km, and the other 40 % 0r, 132sq km, is a forest harboring over one hundred species of birds and an array of mammals such as elephants, blue monkeys, giraffes, and Zebras, leopards, and lions just to name a handful of animals. Lake Manyara National Park centers around its eponymous alkaline lake, an essential habitat for hundreds of bird species. In November and April, thousands of greater and lesser pink flamingos gather on its shore, along with pick-backed pelicans, yellow-billed storks, grey herons, and pods of hippos.

As the afternoon begins to end, you will go toward your accommodation, which is located at Lake Eyasi, for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Accommodation:
Overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge  on full board basis.

Day 3: Lake Eyasi – Karatu

Lake Eyasi is a Salt Lake located in the Great Rift Valley, Southwest of the crater. The lake always experiences dramatic changes in season depending on rain. If there is short rain, sometimes you can see the lake has almost disappeared. You will wake up early to hunt with Hadzabe, and later, after the Hunting, you will visit another tribe, the colorful Datoga people. You will see a local blacksmith practicing his craft, fashioning pots, and weapons from scrap metal. After that, your next destination is Karatu Lodge for relaxation

Accommodation:
Overnight at Acacia Farm Lodge  on full board basis.

Day 4: Karatu – Central Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, a Kojuu Safaris driver starts the journey with you to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation area for game viewing. You will stop at a Masai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands, where you will meet the Elders, Warriors, women, and children — and learn about the culture, beliefs, and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic ethnic group.

Later, your next step in the journey is Serengeti for a game drive. Serengeti is an extensive community with a wild game park. It is a must-see desire for every traveler. At 15000 sq km, this park is truly “the endless plains.” It is the abode of nomadic Maasai. It is overwhelming by its diverse wildlife inside Serengeti. It is the home of the big five: “lions, leopards, bush elephants, African buffalos, and Black Rhinos.” The area is also famous for its annual migrations and its beautiful landscapes. Serengeti is a must-visit place to discover wildlife species. The park encompasses grasslands, wetlands, woodlands, riverine forests, and more. You will see a rich, varied, perfect ecosystem, and your knowledgeable driver guide will gladly share his knowledge.

After the game viewing, you will drive to the camp, located inside the park, offering a panoramic view of the area during your relaxation, dinner, and overnight stays.

Accommodation:
Overnight at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge  on full board basis.

Day 5: Central Serengeti National Park

The sound of Africa arouses you from sleep, and you will freshen up and go to the main area for breakfast. After breakfast, your tour driver will take you to the park for a full-day game drive. If you love animals, then Serengeti is the right place to be. You will find the real Mufasa, Nala, Simba, and Scars, thanks to the Disney film “The Lion King.” Around 3,000 Lions are living in the Serengeti ecosystem. They are easy to spot because of their numbers and because they like to loll about for hours each day under the trees. Lions can long for 20 hours a day. The Serengeti also has bush elephants, cape buffaloes, birds like the Kori bustard, Fischer’s, and others.

Overall, Serengeti is an endless playground, from the big five, the big cats, and the stifling air balloon to river crossing in Mara River and Grumeti – there is no shortage of raw adventures and moments well spentAs the afternoon ends, you will head toward your campsite in the park for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Accommodation:
Overnight at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge  on full board basis.

Day 6: Central Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro

Waking up in the Serengeti is something exceptional. The sights, sounds, and smells of Africa’s fresh scented air make it a great Safari opportunity. Here, start your magic adventures with a full day in the world’s most famous national park before heading to Ngorongoro for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Accommodation:
Overnight at Ngorongoro Lions Paw  on full board basis.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater was one of the World Heritage sites in 1979 and is one of the only places on earth where humankind and wild animals mingle in harmony. The Ngorongoro Crater is famous for Africa’s best game viewing, with an ever-present abundance of wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor.

Upon arrival at the Crater’s rim, you descend 610 meters into the Crater, where your Safari excursion truly begins. You can easily spot the endangered black rhinos, wildebeests, buffaloes, zebras, elands, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and giant tusked elephants. The Crater also has the largest known population of lions, and you will spot leopards, cheetahs, and scavengers — hyenas, jackals, and rare wild dogs.

Over five hundred species of birds have been recorded within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including white pelicans and flamingos. Ascending from the crater floor, you will drive to your campsite for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Accommodation:
Overnight at Ang’ata Tarangire Camp  on full board basis.

Day 8: Tarangire National Park – Arusha

Breakfast, pick up from the Hotel by Kojuu Safari guide, and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. Tarangire is one of Africa’s little-known gems. We recommend this itinerary to all lovers of wilderness and solitude. Its name originates from the Tarangire River, which crosses through the park and is the sole water source during the dry season. Tarangire’s landscape is incredibly diverse, with a mix not found anywhere else on the northern safari circuit. It comprises ancient baobab trees, which the Maasai believe are the first tree in creation, and giant termite mounds. The dry season sees the harsh sun suck the moisture from the landscape, baking the earth a dusty red, while the wet season brings dense bush and luscious high grasses.

Famous for its large elephant population, the area is home to zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, waterbucks, baboons, dwarfs, mongooses, impalas, buffaloes, antelopes, and fringe-eared oryx. Predators include lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Flocks of birds share the swamps: green wood hoopoes, lovebirds, tallish herons, white-bellied go-away birds, and giant kingfishers. On drier ground, you will find the Koris, bustards, and the heaviest flying birds, such as ostriches. As the afternoon ends, you will drive to your Hotel Arusha for relaxation, dinner, and overnight

Day 9: Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport

After breakfast, depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
