Looking to travel in June or early July this is a perfect tour for you. These 5 days Gorilla and chimpanzee tracking safari will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for another thrilling activity-trekking Uganda’s mountain gorillas. Here you will also have an opportunity to view the terrain of the forest, animal life and bird life.

Day by Day

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a Kojuu Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at leisure – rest in your room or explore Kampala and the surrounding areas on one of our day tours, the choice is yours.

Accommodation: Overnight at The Boma Entebbe on Full board basis

Day 2: Kampala fly in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Early breakfast, you will transfer to Entebbe Airport at 06hr00 for your scheduled morning flight at 07hr00 and fly to Kihihi Airstrip on arrival you will meet your guide and then transfer to your lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. This fascinating mountain forest hosts chimpanzees and spectacular birds. There are 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including Blue-throated Broadbill, bar-tailed Trogon and other beautiful forest species.

You shall go to bed earlier this evening, since you should be fit for gorilla trekking the next day.

Day 3: 1st day Gorilla Trekking

After breakfast, depart prepare for the upcoming gorilla trekking. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. In the afternoon you may take a Village or Forest walk in Bwindi National Park and later on go back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: 2nd day Gorilla Trekking

Early breakfast, today you will get up early and once again go for a second trekking of the gentle giats. A thrilling trek through the Impenetrable Forest led by an experienced ranger Guide provides inspiring views in all directions. You will trek a different family and get to spend time watching the adults feeding their young ones, brushing and resting as the youngsters play from vines in a pleasurably playful display. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Bwindi NP – Kampala – Entebbe Airport

Today marks the end of your tour. Today you will fly from Kihihi Airstrip to Entebbe Airport for your onward flight.
